  • SSE SWALEC supports Welsh cricket clubs with a share of £10,000

Each year SSE SWALEC awards cricket clubs from across Wales a share of £10,000 as part of its Cricket Development Fund.

The fund was first introduced in 2011 to provide matched funding for Welsh grassroots cricket clubs. In association with Cricket Wales and Glamorgan Cricket, it aims to grow one of Wales' favourite national sports at a local level.

We've helped more than 50 clubs invest in everything from waterhogs and cover sheets to sight screens and score boxes to date.

The Community Development Fund is our way of giving something back to local cricket clubs across Wales. These eleven clubs don't always have access to the funds needed for new equipment and pitch maintenance so we're happy that we're able to help these eleven clubs with this essential funding.

If your cricket club is interested in receiving a share of £10,000 next season (2015), please e-mail Kerry Lloyd on kerry.lloyd@cricketwales.org.uk for more information on the application and selection process.
