    The inaugural SWALEC Premier Cricket League Twenty20 Final proved to be a big success on Sunday,1st August with 400 spectators pitching up to the SWALEC Stadium to watch the Sully Centurions take the title in a great display of big hitting and outstanding fielding.

    Sully started the day with a semi-final against rivals Usk, followed by the second semi-final match between Swansea and Pontarddulais. Swansea triumphed to set up an exciting final, which was a hard- fought battle between two worthy finalists. 

    Sully set a good target with 165 for 6, with Man of the Match, Alex Wharf, scoring 49 before being caught by Daniel Hardman from a Mark Payne ball. Wharf also helped keep the pressure on Swansea by taking two wickets for only 14 runs, which helped seal the victory by 56 runs, as Swansea struggled to 109 for 7 in response.

    The Final marks the first year of the SWALEC Premier Cricket League, a season-long contest between the top ten clubs in South Wales which bridges the gap between club and county cricket.
