Our heritage in renewable electricity spans over 50 years, from the development of the first hydro generation sites in the north of Scotland, to a renewable generation capacity today of more than 1500 MW.

At one time, the responsibility for developing renewable electricity generation sat firmly with the utility companies, but today we can all play a part in safeguarding the environment, by generating carbon-free electricity from our own homes.

The number of homeowners choosing to generate at least part of their electricity through small scale renewable devices such as solar photovoltaic panels or wind turbines is growing all the time.
