1 Comparison between talk prices and BT published rates apply from 1st April 2008, based on payment by direct debit and receiving paper bills. Comparisons based on data available at 13th March 2008. talk is only available to residential customers with a BT line. Different rates may apply to international destinations not listed, non-geographic numbers, directory enquiries, internet numbers and premium rate services. Calls to NTS numbers (0845 and 0870 numbers) will cost a maximum of 12p per minute (for further details see our website). All local/national calls and calls to mobiles and international calls will be rounded to the next whole minute. This does not apply to NTS or premium rate calls. It will also not apply to inclusive calls or the 4.2p evening and weekend calls under talk a little. The total cost of each non inclusive call will be rounded up to the nearest whole penny. 2 Inclusive talk calls are standard voice calls to local and national numbers, which are those numbers that begin with 01, 02 and 03, inclusive talk calls are free up to 70 minutes (the BT equivalent is 60 minutes). Redial before 70 minutes to talk for free. 2.9p per additional minute in day calls (the BT equivalent is 4p per minute) and 1p per additional minute in evening/weekend calls (for BT equivalent see note 3) are applied. Re-dial before 70 minutes to continue to talk for free.
3 For the purpose of comparison talk a little charges are compared to a new BT package which gives free weekend calls. BT has moved all customers onto this package from their previous equivalent to talk a little. The talk a little call charge for evenings and weekends is just 4.2p for the first 70 minutes with additional minutes charged at 1p. The call set up charge of 6p does not apply to these calls. BT equivalent tariff now charges 1.5p a minute and set up fee of 6p for evening calls.
4 In the comparison the BT mobile rates exclude the optional feature of paying £1.50 monthly for a 25% reduction in calls to selected mobile networks in their Unlimited Weekend Plan, and their Evening and Weekend Plan. The mobile rates listed here apply to the following networks: O2, Orange, Vodafone and T-Mobile.
5 The call set-up charge does not apply to talk a little local/national evening and weekend calls and inclusive calls up to 70 minutes on talk evening and weekend and talk anytime packages .
