    Make Energy. Make Sense.

Solar thermal systems use energy from the sun to warm the water in your hot water tank. Your existing boiler or immersion heater is then used to heat the water further to reach the temperature set by the cylinder’s thermostat.

Solar thermal systems use solar panels called collectors, which are fitted to your roof. There are two types of panels, evacuated tubes or flat plate collectors. Flat plate collectors can be fixed on the roof tiles or integrated into the roof.

    What are the benefits?

Solar thermal systems are one of the most efficient renewable energy resources available and can provide up to 50-70% of your home's yearly hot water needs, and in the summer months you may not need your boiler on at all! You can also reduce your carbon footprint by up to 300kg of carbon dioxide each year.*
